H.E. Ulisses Pauleta Rolim, Count of Rolim and Reigada, Grand Prior of the Royal Confraternity of Saint Teotonio (RCST) has been appointed as an Honorary Knight Grand Cross of the Knightly Order Valiant of St. George. Count Rolim was Invested at the annual service in Rochester Cathedral on May 21st 2011 by Grand Prior H.E. Simon McIlwaine GCStG.

The Royal Confraternity of Sao Teotonio was established on the 2nd of November 2000 in Portugal as an international chivalric confraternity. The confraternity is named for Saint Teotonio, a 12th Century Portuguese canon and royal advisor, the first Portuguese saint. The confraternity is a royal brotherhood open to those who profess Christian values and exemplify Christian virtues.

Count Rolim is a great friend of our Order and engages in philanthropic work across the world. Notably the Royal Confraternity has signed a Cooperation Memorandum with the Saint Catherine of Alexandria Monastery of Friars at the Basilica of Nativity of our Lord in Bethlehem. Working together to support the education of Christian children living in Bethlehem and to fortify the position of the Christian Faith and community of the Church in the Holy Land.

We were very pleased that Count Rolim was able to attend our annual service of Investiture and wish him well with his work in the Royal Confraternity of Sao Teotonio.
