PWRR Evening at Dover CastleDated: 20/07/2009 The Grand Prior, Chev Simon McIlwaine, and UK Grand Priory Liaison officer to Kent Army Benevolent Fund, Chev Ron Hughes,(ex RCT) were honoured to be invited by our affiliated TA Regiment, 3rd Bn of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment to join them and 1PWRR at a most enjoyable reception at Dover Castle on Friday evening 18th July. In addition to eliminating the Taliban from their TAORs, the "Tigers" are working hard to build schools, hospitals and infrastructure in areas under threat, and support for democratic institutions and friendly relationships with village elders and the law-abiding population are at the core of the British Army's strategic mission. The battle against the Taliban has to be won. Failure is not an option, and the soldiers on the ground would perceive that as a betrayal of their brothers who have made the supreme sacrifice.
